Longtime “Survivor” fan-favorite Boston Rob Mariano could soon be bringing his reality TV chops to another iconic CBS show. According to a reliable Big Brother Twitter account, Mariano is on the reported wishlist for the upcoming third celebrity edition of “Big Brother.”
Mariano, a reality veteran who has competed on “Survivor” six times and won the title of Sole Survivor on his fourth attempt in 2011’s “Redemption Island,” revealed by SpoilerGirl1 along with several other potential houseguests.
Other names floated include “American Idol” star Clay Aiken, reality diva Tiffany Pollard of “I Love New York” fame, former “Vanderpump Rules” star Jax Taylor, and former Trump administration senior advisor Kellyanne Conway.
While unconfirmed by CBS, recruiting Mariano would make sense for the network. He already has a close relationship with CBS through his numerous appearances on “Survivor” and other projects like “Secret Celebrity Renovation.”
Bringing in such a hugely popular player from CBS’s other landmark reality series would undoubtedly excite many fans. It would also be a first – no former “Survivor” castaway has ever gone on to compete on “Celebrity Big Brother.”

When he’s not competing on reality shows, Mariano has kept busy lately with projects like a sponsored RV trip with his family, starring in his own Boston travel show, and undergoing surgery on his hand due to a scooter accident.
But he may soon trade his active lifestyle for scheming and backstabbing if he joins the celebrities moving into the famous “Big Brother” house this winter.
Fans will have to stay tuned to the CBS celebrity edition to see if Boston Rob does indeed appear as a houseguest when the new season likely premieres in early 2022.
His addition would bring another layer of drama and competition to what is already shaping up to be a star-studded mix of headline-grabbing personalities.
