It’s September, and that means it’s time for another version of the Emmys – but of course it’s not doing business as usual this year as the coronovirus epidemic gets massed like big entertainment industry award shows Prevent from.
So Emmys will only see one Little This year when it falls apart on September 20, Jimmy Kimmel will host an ABC broadcast, which will try to feel the Emmys but without a larger stage. As we all get used to, the 2020 Emmy Awards will be a distant affair.
You would think a change in the show would mean that there is no red carpet. And, technically, you’d be right. We are not going to be the ones to hold our beauty under a physical red carpet in Los Angeles for Amy on Sunday. But so will the red carpet shows.
And that’s because while people may have to accept their Emmy awards virtually this time, it doesn’t mean that everyone will put it on in their pajamas.
ABC will air a red carpet pre-show starting at 7 pm ET / 4 PT. E !, likewise, are making their usual “Live from the Red Carpet” special for the Emmys, and it will be hosted by Giuliana Rancic and Vivica A. Fox starting at 6 pm ET / 3PT.
The Emmys ceremony itself will begin at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT, as usual.
What would this Fox-red carpet show be like? Well, TheWrap spoke with E’s live event boss, Jane Neil, to fall short on the network’s Emmy coverage. He told us that we could expect the same content as a normal red carpet show, just in a new format. In other words, E! Ka red carpet show will give us interviews with as many big stars as they can – just away from their living room.
You will be able to stream both of these Red Carpet pre-shows online, though not for free. E! ‘S livestream available Right here on the web Or in E! App for mobile and TV streaming box – with a valid TV provider login. Likewise, you can include coverage of AMC, including the Emmys ceremony ABC.com here And in the ABC app.
And even though everyone will be home for the Emmys this year, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t expect some cool outfits from celebs. We don’t really know what to do – but whatever we’re getting, it probably won’t be boring.
And I’m sure we’ll see at least one celebrity role from a red carpet in their backyard.
