Urgent search ongoing for pensioner William Wright who went missing from the RVI

An pressing search has been launched for an aged man who went missing from hospital in Newcastle.

William Wright, who suffers from dementia, has not been seen since he left the RVI hospital shortly earlier than 6.30pm on Tuesday.

Enquiries to find the 79-year-old are ongoing however each his household and officers are rising more and more involved for his welfare.

He is described as slim construct, clear shaven with white hair and is believed to be sporting navy blue denims and a light-weight blue/gray colored cumbersome jacket with trainers.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police stated: “Officers looking out for William are releasing his photograph together with a CCTV picture of him leaving the RVI earlier right this moment in the hopes somebody has seen him and may also help slim the search.

“William suffers from dementia and should seem confused when approached by different members of the public.
