President Trump on Monday tweeted a photo of himself in a face mask and said it was patriotic to placed on one amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“We’re United in our effort to defeat the Invisible China Virus, and plenty of people say that it is Patriotic to placed on a face mask once you presumably cannot socially distance. There’s nobody further Patriotic than me, your favorite President!” Trump tweeted.

The message follows months of Trump avoiding being seen in public wearing a mask, as he touted a message of reopening the financial system following enterprise closures in March and April.

Senior Republicans these days have urged further of us to placed on masks, arguing it’d allow corporations to reopen safely and curb a rise in infections all through the South and the Southwest.

The image of Trump appears to be from a go to to the Walter Reed navy hospital near Washington this month. Trump gained rave evaluations on social media for his look in a darkish blue mask with a presidential seal in gold.
