Three Teesdale walkers found safe and well after overnight search

Three walkers have been found safe and well after a search for them came about overnight.

Three ladies, Julie, Joanne and Lucy, all travelled to Middleton-in-Teesdale on Sunday morning to finish an almost 19-mile stroll round High Force and Low Force waterfalls.

The ladies, who’re all of their mid-50s, had been believed to have arrived within the space at 10am and had been anticipated to return at 5.30pm that afternoon, nevertheless they didn’t.

After an overnight search involving Durham Constabulary officers and volunteers from Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team, police confirmed on Monday morning that the three ladies had been found safe and well.

Julie, Joanne and Lucy are all eager walkers and had been sporting full strolling gear with boots, maps and compasses, a Durham police spokesperson stated in an earlier enchantment for data.

The route the ladies deliberate to take was Walk 23, High and Low Force, Upper Teesdale.

It was confirmed at 5.40am on Monday that every one three ladies have been found safe and well, round 12 hours after that they had been anticipated to return.
