(KXAN) — A feud was ignited early Sunday morning when actor Seth Rogen took to Twitter to fireside off a single sentence at Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz: “Everyone who made that movie would hate you.”
The beef started when Cruz responded to a tweet from MGM Studios asking, “What was the primary movie you noticed in theaters?” Cruz answered that the primary film he’d seen in a theater was a revival of Disney’s 1940 animated movie “Fantasia.”
“It scared me; I cried–I used to be 4. My Mom needed to take me out,” Cruz tweeted. “Good occasions.”
The reply, apparently, irked Rogen, greatest identified for roles in comedies like “Knocked Up” and “Superbad.”
“Everyone who made that movie would hate you,” Rogen responded.

Rogen’s response racked up over 38,000 likes and Cruz ultimately responded, saying: “They’re all no longer alive. So I believe we’re good. And Walt Disney was a Republican. Even although you behave on-line like a Marxist with Tourette’s (screaming “F U! F U!” is de facto, actually intelligent), your films are sometimes fairly humorous. I’m certain you hate that I get pleasure from them.”

Rogen shortly clapped again at Cruz’s response — and mocking of Tourette’s syndrome:
“As somebody who has Tourette’s of their household (and additionally has a really delicate case himself), I as soon as once more take nice pleasure in telling you to go f— your self. This prompted a response from Cruz, who answered:
“All jokes apart, @Sethrogen is a moron. It’s your celebration that believes in govt energy: to close your corporation, to oppress your religion & to censor your speech. Anyone who disagrees, they attempt to cancel. BTW, numerous of us in Hollywood are conservative—& muzzled by the fascist Left.”
Cruz didn’t seem to acknowledge his utilization of Tourette’s as an insult, though it didn’t draw solely the wrath of Rogen.
Many in Cruz’s replies identified an ill-informed and offensive use of referencing Tourette’s Syndrome as an insult.
“This isn’t the 90s, Tourette’s isn’t a punchline anymore,” wrote one person.
“Why are you mocking particular wants individuals who have Tourette’s syndrome?” Project Lincoln committee member David Weissman requested.
Another person answered: “Mocking an incurable neurological situation which tens of millions of individuals spend a lifetime managing is… completely on-brand for you, Ted.”
