TheRugrats are crawling again to tv simply forward of Memorial Day Weekend.
Paramount+ has set a Thursday, May 27 premiere date for the Nicktoon’s CG-animated revival. The date was confirmed in a sizzle reel for the not too long ago rebranded streaming service (fka CBS All Access), which options new footage of Tommy Pickles and his menacing cousin Angelica.
As beforehand reported, authentic voice actors E.G. Daily (Tommy), Nancy Cartwright (Chuckie), Cheryl Chase (Angelica), Cree Summer (Susie) and Kath Soucie (Phil and Lil) will reprise their iconic roles. New cast additions embodyVeep trio Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky and Timothy Simons, who’re set to voice Chuckie’s father Chas, and Angelica’s ‘rents Charlotte and Drew, respectively.
Additional newbies embody Ashley Rae Spillers (Vice Principals) as Tommy’s mom Didi; Tommy Dewey (Casual) as Tommy’s father Stu; Natalie Morales (Dead to Me) as Phil and Lil’s mom Betty; Nicole Byer (Nailed It!) as Susie’s mom Lucy; Omar Miller (The Unicorn) as Susie’s father Randy; and Michael McKean (Better Call Saul) as Grandpa Lou Pickles.
“This extremely proficient group of actors gives a contemporary and really humorous take on these iconic roles, combining humor with coronary heart to carry the characters to life in an entire new method,” Liz Paulson, Senior VP of Talent and Casting at Nickelodeon, stated in a earlier assertion. Added Ramsey Naito, President of Nickelodeon Animation, “The all-new Rugrats is full of comedy, music and adventures that solely infants can embark upon, and the function of the grown-ups is an important piece of the sequence.”
