A posthumous album from the revered Phife Dawg is scheduled to drop in 2021.
The announcement was made by the residing members of A Tribe Called Quest on social media as they celebrated what was supposed to be The Five-Foot Assassin’s fiftieth birthday. They and Phife’s property commemorated his birthday and legacy with a pair of restricted version T-shirts together with the information that followers will probably be getting the brand new album “early subsequent 12 months.”
“Happy fiftieth Phife Dawg! To honor and rejoice his life and legacy, the property on behalf of his household simply launched restricted version ‘Phife Forever’ tees,” ATCQ wrote on Twitter. “Also know that early subsequent 12 months you’ll all get to hear a brand new Phife album.”
The upcoming venture will mark Phife’s second general solo studio album following 2000’s Ventilation: Da LP and his first musical look for the reason that last ATCQ album We Got It from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service, which dropped only a few months after his dying in 2016.
