Man charged after alleged stabbing in Newcastle city centre

A person is about to seem in courtroom after an alleged stabbing in Newcastle city centre.

Emergency providers have been referred to as to a report of an assault at an handle on Stowell Street in Newcastle shortly after 9pm on Saturday evening.

On arrival, officers discovered a 33-year-old man in the realm who had sustained accidents in keeping with a stabbing and he was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening accidents.

A 22-year-old was arrested in reference to the incident.

On Monday, a spokesperson for Northumbria Police confirmed that he had been charged with wounding with intent to commit GBH and possession of a bladed article.

He is about to seem at North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
