A person has been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of school teacher Caroline Kayll.

Ms Kayll died in hospital following an assault in the village of Linton, Northumberland, on Sunday.

Police stated they obtained a report {that a} 47-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy had been assaulted at an handle on Foxcover.
