Madonna teases biopic, slams ‘Evita’ composer Andrew Lloyd Webber

Madonna’s COVID diaries took a detour on Thursday.

The “Vogue” singer, 62, posted a greater than hourlong Instagram Live video of herself working with “Juno” screenwriter Diablo Cody on her biopic. Several occasions through the video, Cody will be seen surreptitiously giving Jim Halpert-esque appears to the digicam a la “The Office.”

The meandering video opens with the pair discussing a scene the place Madonna’s sister Paula Ciccone confronts the singer in London whereas she was filming director Alan Parker’s display screen adaptation of the musical “Evita.”

“I used to be completely and totally intimidated by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice and the story of Eva Perón, the actual historic story, and residing as much as all the good singers and actresses who had performed her earlier than me,” the “Like a Virgin” chanteuse remembered. “I believe I had a couple of nervous breakdowns worrying that I used to be going to be fired day by day, mainly.”

She then revealed that Webber wasn’t notably type to her.

“He was not good to me,” she claimed. “I’m undecided he even wished me within the film. Thank God, Alan Parker did.”

Rick Miramontez, a spokesman for Lloyd Webber wrote in an announcement: “She will need to have Andrew confused with anyone else.  Andrew and Madonna had a really clean and productive working relationship on the ‘Evita’ movie.”

One individual concerned with the musical — Patti LuPone, who originated the position on Broadway — thinks Madonna was horrible within the film.

“I believed it was a bit of s - - t,” she informed “Watch What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen in 2017. “Madonna is a film killer.”

Madonna, a mom of six, shared some particulars of the upcoming movie with followers describing it as “my battle as an artist … Trying to outlive in a person’s world as a lady. And actually simply the journey, which has been comfortable, unhappy, mad, loopy, good, unhealthy and ugly.”
