Lea Seydoux joins Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya & more for film’s sequel

Los Angeles, Jun 22 (PTI) French star Lea Seydoux is the newest addition to the cast of filmmaker Denis Villeneuve’s much-awaited “Dune: Part Two”.

Seydoux, who has movies like “Blue Is The Warmest Color”, “The Grand Budapest Hotel”, “Midnight In Paris” and “No Time To Die” to her credit score, will play the function of Lady Margot within the sequel, reported Variety.

“Dune: Part One”, which was launched in October 2021 to common reward, was primarily based on creator Frank Herbert’s seminal 1965 novel. 

It adopted the story of Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet), a superb and gifted younger man born into an excellent future past his understanding, who should journey to Arrakis, probably the most harmful planet within the universe to make sure the way forward for his household and his folks.

“Dune: Part Two” will resume the place Part One left off, with Atreides preventing alongside the Fremen to free the desert planet of Arrakis from the grips of House of Harkonnen.

Seydoux joins fellow newcomers Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Austin Butler and veteran actor Christopher Walken within the sequel.

Walken will play Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV, with Pugh and Butler taking over the roles of Princess Irulan, the Emperor’s daughter, and Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, the presumptive inheritor to the Harkonnen dynasty, respectively.

Part two of “Dune” is anticipated to start out manufacturing later this 12 months and has a launch date of October 20, 2023.

Jon Spaihts is returning to co-write the script with Villeneuve, who will direct and produce the sequel.
