John Cleese, well-known for outraging thousands and thousands in his Monty Python roles, is at it once more. In a tweetstorm Sunday, the 81-year-old comic defended J.Okay. Rowling and questioned elements of transgender rights.

“Deep down, I want to be a Cambodian police woman. Is that allowed, or am I being unrealistic?” Cleese tweeted in response to somebody who requested why he could not “simply let individuals be who they need to be.”

He added later, “I’m afraid I’m not that interested in trans folks.

Cleese earlier signed a letter of help for “Harry Potter” writer J.Okay. Rowling, who has equally questioned the Twitter orthodoxy on transgender individuals.

Cleese would not again down, regardless of the firestorm of replies.  “When a girl who was as soon as a person is competing towards girls who’ve all the time been girls, I believe she has a bonus, as a result of she inherited a person’s physique, which is often larger and stronger than a girl’s.

“Does that show phobia?” he requested.
