JK Rowling decries Iran regime as anti-hijab protests escalate over Mahsa Amini’s death

The ongoing protests in Iran started as an emotional outpouring after the demise of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who died within the custody of morality police for allegedly violating its strictly enforced hijab gown code. The incident has sparked outrage throughout the globe, with outstanding creator JK Rowling expressing grief over the state of affairs in Iran. 

The Harry Potter creator took to social media and acknowledged that the Iranian regime is exterminating younger lady who’re talking up towards its ‘misogyny’. The clashes between Iranian authorities and protestors have reportedly led to the demise of no less than 26 individuals.

Taking to her Twitter deal with on Friday, September 23, JK Rowling shared a publish in regards to the demise of one other 23-year-old lady Hananeh Kian, who is alleged to have been shot throughout the protests. In the caption, she talked about, “The Iranian regime is killing younger ladies who protest towards its misogyny. #HananehKian #MahsaAmini.”

The Harry Potter creator has been frequently sharing posts on the Iranian ladies’s protests and earlier reposted a video showcasing two ladies protestors being crushed on the streets. “The bravery of those ladies and the filthy brutality of the supposed guardians of morality. #MahsaAmini,” she talked about.

Meanwhile, Iran’s president stated that the demise of the lady within the custody of the nation’s morality police have to be “steadfastly” investigated.
