EXCLUSIVE: Actress Ji-young Yoo has boarded the forthcoming characteristic The Sky Is Everywhere from Apple and A24. She will be part of the ensemble that features Cherry Jones, Jason Segel, Grace Kaufman and Jacques Colimon.
Based on the YA novel by Jandy Nelson, Josephine Decker (director of Sundance winner Shirley) will helm the movie which can be tailored by the writer. The novel follows the character of Lennie (Kaufman), a teen who by accident falls in love whereas grieving the lack of her sister Bailey. Yoo is about to play Lennie’s finest pal Sarah.
Jones will play the position of Gram, Lennie and Bailey’s grandmother, who takes them in and raises them in her dwelling the place she lives together with her eccentric son, Big performed by Segel. He runs a neighborhood sizzling air balloon firm and tends to fall in love with whichever lady he takes up within the balloon. Colimon will play Joe Fontaine, the musician who turns into intrigued with Lennie.
Denise Di Novi and Margaret French Isaac will produce the Apple Original movie for Di Novi Pictures.

This marks the primary main lead position for Yoo, who deferred her last semester at USC to shoot The Sky is Everywhere. She additionally seems in Amy Poehler’s Netflix comedy Moxie. She lately starred within the East West Players manufacturing of the comedic thriller Man of God on the Union Center for Arts.
