Italian ambassador to Congo killed in attack on UN convoy

Italy’s ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo was killed in an attack on a United Nations convoy whereas visiting the Central African nation, officers mentioned.

The Italian ambassador, Luca Attanasio, was touring round 10:15 a.m. Monday when the group was attacked close to the city of Kanyamahoro, the Virunga National Park advised Reuters.

A navy policeman touring with him was additionally killed in the attack.
