Investigation launched after crews battle fire at John O’Toole Quarry in Durham

Emergency providers spent a number of hours tackling a blaze at a Durham quarry.

The fire service responded to a name of a blaze in a pre-fabricated constructing at John O’Toole quarry in Westerton simply after 9am on Thursday.

Crews from Bishop Auckland, Newton Aycliffe, Spennymoor, Durham and an Aerial Ladder Platform from Darlington all attended the scene.
