Facebook’s Oversight Board Has Received Appeal From ‘User’ in Trump Ban Case

Facebook Inc.’s oversight board has obtained a “person assertion” for the case it’s deciding about whether or not the social media firm was proper to indefinitely droop former President Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, a board spokeswoman confirmed on Tuesday. 

Facebook handed the case to its unbiased board in January after it blocked Trump’s entry to his accounts over considerations of additional violent unrest following the storming of the U.S. Capitol by the previous president’s supporters. The board’s course of gave directors of Trump’s web page the choice to submit an announcement difficult Facebook’s resolution. 

The spokeswoman stated the board would don’t have any additional remark till it had issued a choice.
