‘Dancing with the Stars’ returned with its 29th season, which premiered on September 14, 2020. Featuring a new format, host and judge, the latest iteration of the hit reality competition brings in a new batch of celebrity stars. The new Imara is Tyra Banks with judges Carrie Ann Inba and Bruno Tonioli returning. After Derek Hoff replaced Len Goodman, he took his new position on the panel, which COVID-19 could not create due to travel restrictions.

‘Dancing with the Stars’ is slated for season 29 episode 2 premiere September 22, 2020, On 8 PM ET, On ABC. The upcoming episode is called ‘First Elimination’. However, after this, the season will follow a weekly format of airing a new episode every Monday at 8 / 7c. If there are any additional changes to the schedule, we will update our preview segment accordingly.

Dancing with the Stars Season 29 Episode 1
The premiere episode began with AJ McLean’s dance to Lights Blinding Lights’ partner Cheryl Burke. He scores 18 points overall. Chryshel Stodge’s next for ‘Raise Your Glass’ in association with Gleib Sawanko. And his tango gave him ‘All of Me’, a total score of 13. Vernon Davis and Peta Murgatroyd, scoring an impressive 17 points. Anne Heche is paired with her pro partner Keo Motsepe, and she gets 18 points.
Ginny Mae sings for ‘It’s It’s My Heart’ with Brandon Armstrong in a fun ballroom spin. His salsa dance landed him a total score of 18. Jessie Metcalf joined with her pro-dancer partner Sharna Burgess, while Sky Jackson and Alan Barnst delivered a stunning tango. The latter pair lead the night with 21 points. Then we have Kaitlyn Bristow and Artem Chigvintsev, who are drifting to an incredible cha cha routine and earning a score of 20.
Subsequent performances include Nave Shulman and Jenna Johnson, Johnny Weir and Brit Stewart and Justina Machado and Sasha Farber. While working with pro-dancer Emma Slater, she danced to Charles Oakley’s ‘In the Club’, scoring only 12 points. Monica Aldama and Val Charmakovsky scored a total of 20 points while Nellie and Danila Karragach got a total of 16 points. Carol Eyeskin’s dance of ‘Eye of the Tiger’, partnering with Pasha Pashkov, brought her to a score of 11.
