COVID-19 vaccine shipments to states increasing by another million doses

The Biden administration stated Tuesday that it is upping the full variety of COVID-19 vaccine doses despatched to states every week — from 13.5 million doses to 14.5 million.

The White House’s COVID-19 process power made the announcement on Twitter.

The elevated vaccine provide comes every week after the White House announced it was boosting the variety of weekly doses being shipped out from 11 million to 13.5 million.

So far, the US has distributed greater than 82 million doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention stated.

But the vaccine rollout was plagued by delivery issues final week as winter storms throughout the US created delays.

Officials have stated that vaccine shipments needs to be again on monitor by the center of the week.

“It’s unlucky that it was a setback, however it’s a short lived setback, and once you simply, you realize, put your foot to the accelerator and actually push, we’ll get it up to the place we’d like to be by the center of the week,” Dr. Anthony Fauci told “Meet the Press” on Sunday.
