A man has been charged with attempted murder following a two-vehicle collision in County Durham.
The collision occurred in Staindrop, close to Barnard Castle, shortly after 9am on Tuesday morning.
Emergency companies had been referred to as to the A688 at Keverstone Bank following stories of the crash involving a Fiat Ducato and a Nissan Juke.
The driver of the Fiat, a 36-year-old man, was arrested and later charged with attempted murder, inflicting severe harm by harmful driving and assaulting an emergency service employee.
The man, from Seaham, has been remanded in custody to seem at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary confirmed that the feminine driver of the Nissan was injured and brought to hospital for remedy. She has since been launched.
A feminine passenger within the Fiat was additionally taken to hospital with severe accidents.
