The doorways of Dewell and Hoyt Private Investigations will stay open for the foreseeable future: ABC has renewed Big Sky for Season 2, TVLine has discovered.
The drama, during which Kylie Bunbury and Katheryn Winnick play Montana PIs, at the moment is greater than midway by way of its inaugural season. It has distinguished itself amongst broadcast dramas with its willingness to off main characters with little lead-up: Ryan Phillippe’s Cody was murdered with almost no preamble within the collection premiere, and Victoria Mahaffey’s Helen and John Carrol Lynch’s Legarski each met their ends — neither naturally — because the season progressed.
Through 13 episodes,Big Skyis averaging 3.7 million weekly viewers and almost a 0.6 ranking (in Live+Same Day numbers). Among the eight dramas ABC has aired this TV season, it ranks No. 4 within the demo (trailing solely Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19 and The Good Doctor) and fifth in whole viewers.
Executive producer Elwood Reid (The Bridge, The Chi)will function showrunner for Season 2.
