Angie Jakusz, ‘Survivor: Palau’ Contestant, Dead at 40


(*40*)Angie Jakusz, a contestant from Survivor‘s tenth season, handed away Jan. 8 after shedding a long-fought battle with most cancers, Peoplestories. She was 40.

(*40*)Jakusz was simply 25 years old when she was cast on Survivor: Palauin 2005. At the time, she was working as a bartender and an artist in New Orleans, La.

(*40*)When she arrived to the sport, she was focused at the primary tribal council after the Ulong tribe misplaced the immunity problem. After that, she impressed her tribe by performing nicely in challenges, breaking down her tribe’s preliminary judgments of her colourful tattoos and daring piercings.

(*40*)Despite efficiently integrating together with her tribe, Ulong’s shedding streak continued, and Jakusz grew to become the sixth individual voted out of the sport.

(*40*)”We had heard from her household three years in the past that she was battling most cancers,” Palau castmate Coby Archa instructed People. “We raised some cash for her remedies. She wasn’t into the celebrity, simply the expertise of Survivor. She got here, she performed, and she or he went again to her life in New Orleans. She favored her life that means.”

(*40*)Jakusz is the second cast member fromSurvivor: Palauto move away. Jenn Lyon died in 2010 following her battle with breast most cancers. Archa posted a tribute photograph on Instagram (beneath) of his two misplaced tribemates.
