Ade Edmondson rescued from window ledge by fire brigade in embarrassing mishap

Ade Edmondson discovered himself on the mercy of a stranger yesterday. The comic received trapped on a slim window ledge and it wasn’t lengthy earlier than a crowd gathered round.

The hapless 64-year-old was photographed caught on the roof and pleaded for assist from a passerby.

His calls had been heard by Duncan Cumming, 46, who phoned the fire brigade.

The comic later shared his ordeal on social media, saying his unlucky antics had brought on a stir with these close by.

Ade, who is known for his roles in hits together with The Young Ones and Bottom, revealed all in view of his 329,000 followers.

He wrote: “Just trapped myself on a window ledge while cleansing the home windows.

“Had to ask passerby to fetch assist. Fire Brigade got here. Small crowd gathered – completely having fun with themselves.”

An image taken by Duncan confirmed the second Ade realised he was trapped.

He had been out for a stroll in the capital when he noticed the weird scenario and recognised Ade from the TV.

He advised SWNS: “I noticed somebody on the roof and thought it appeared dangerous – however once I received nearer I knew who it was.

“He shouted to me that he was locked out and requested if I might cellphone for the fire brigade, which in fact I did.”

Duncan added: “I left as soon as I knew he was OK, nevertheless it’s not what you see day by day.

“Occasionally in London, you do see well-known folks out and about – simply not normally on a window ledge!”

Ade is greatest identified for showing in The Young Ones between 1982 and 1984, and Bottom seven years later.

He wrote the latter with Rik Mayall, who died in June 2014.

He has been married to Absolutely Fabulous favorite, Jennifer, since 1985.

They are dad and mom to 3 daughters, musician Ella, 35, actress Beattie, 33, and designer Freya, 30.
