7 Ways to Train Your Subconscious Mind to Get What You Want

Maybe your subconscious mind is keeping you from achieving them. In addition to positive reinforcement, these tips will train your brain for the success you dream of.

The subconscious mind is more powerful than you think. And if you think you can’t control it, then you’re fooling yourself. You would be surprised to know how much control you have over programming the brain. I was in the dark about it too until I saw a documentary on the subconscious mind on my Charter Spectrum cable.

Consider your subconscious mind a data bank. It has everything the conscious mind doesn’t have. It stores your memories, skills, beliefs, previous experiences, everything you have seen, and done. It’s also a very great guidance system which is why it plays a critical role towards achieving some goal.

This part of your mind is a gatekeeper of your comfort zone. If you’re able to conquer the subconscious mind, you can do anything! So let’s learn how to train it:

1: Give Yourself the Permission

I will be happy once I get that promotion, lose 10 pounds, marry the person I love… these old narratives are actually what’s making you lazy. Change your inner monologue. Train your mind to believe that it is you who will allow your life to be good.

Give yourself permission to be happy and don’t feel guilty about it. If your subconscious mind believes that success is corrupt, then you won’t ever do what’s needed to live the life you desire living. Go easy on yourself and permit yourself to step into a happy and healthy existence.

2: Positive Reinforcement Is What You Need

Surround yourself with positivity and watch how it changes everything.

Get rid of all the negativity around you and try embracing positivity. Keep an inspirational note attached to your desk. Unfollow all the negative people on social media. Follow those who spread positivity and motivational messages.

Your news feeds, friend’s circle, and mentors all should catalyze your growth.

3: Start Speaking About Your Success

To train your subconscious mind towards success, start speaking of your success as a present fact. This doesn’t mean you start saying things like I am a CEO but there is no harm in speaking about the things you want out of life.

For instance, instead of saying, I hope to become a CEO, say I am strategizing how to start my own company and become CEO.

4: Find Your Resistance

When your subconscious mind is holding you back from perusing something you love, this means you hold a conflicting benefit about it. This is your resistance and you need to identify it.

For this, ask yourself why do you feel when you procrastinate? Or ask yourself what getting what you really want is putting you in a place that makes you feel vulnerable. These questions will answer so many things and once they do, you simply have to find a way to meet those needs.

5: Start Asking For What You Want

How many times have you held back because what you will hear a no?

I bet many times! Here is a piece of advice. Change your approach. Speak up even if you know your request will be denied. For instance, if your goal is to get a promotion, sit with your manager and make your intentions known.

Want to work with a brand? Reach out to them. In other words, start asking for what you want even if there is no reason to believe that you will get it. But you see this is where you are wrong. As you start speaking up, they will hear you, eventually and you will get what you want.

6: Hang Out With Ambitious People

It’s time you change the people you are hanging out with. Find creative, supportive, and ambitious people.

If you start hanging out with people who are unhappy with their lives, you will be unhappy too. Your company can leave a significant influence on you! So, choose your circle wisely.

7: Follow the Detachment Technique

If you want to achieve anything in life, let go of the attachment to the outcome. It’s impossible to plan how exactly your desire is going to be manifest itself. Instead of narrowing down your options at the moment, keep an open mind. Have faith in the unfolding of your dreams.

Get to work, reprogram your subconscious mind and start climbing the ladder of success.
